Morningside Kapa Haka Festival.

Well done the super students of Ōtāika Valley School, you were amazing!  For those not able to make it, we were one of the first groups to perform and did so to a packed audience. We were loud, proud, full of energy and it was a pleasure to witness such a wonderful performance.

You were all a credit to our kura, but more importantly to yourselves. A special shout out to must go to Whaea Pam and Whaea Darcie for their support and expertise in helping our tamariki get to this point. We will now be building to be even better as we plan toward the Whangarei festival in term 4.

Check out the great pictures and video’s on our Facebook page!

Property Development here at school…things are happening.

Toward the end of August the school will commence a school improvement building programme. This will see a long overdue remodel of our original old block, which will undergo  a complete modernisation. We will bring you details and timeframes as they are finalised over the next 2 weeks. Building improvement inevitably does bring an element of disruption and we will be working hard to minimise any impact on student learning. Watch this space.
