Together We Grow  – Ka Tupu Kotāhi ai Tātou

Kia ora OVS whanau and Caregivers,

Rick is away today, so yours truly from OVS HQ is here to save the newsletter day! LOLS

It’s been a busy couple of weeks at OVS!  Gosh, the phone calls, emails, photocopying, coffees, having morning tea and lunch, did I mention coffees?, the afternoon naps….the list goes on, but enough about me.  😀

What a fabulous day last Friday with the students participating in our own OVS Athletics event.  This gave the students a taste of what to expect at today’s Athletics held at Maungakaramea School and Sports Grounds.  From what I’ve heard, they had an absolutely fantastic day and will sleep well tonight I’m sure!  A huge pakipaki for our amazing students who gave everything a go and demonstrated their RURU values throughout the day.  Also a massive thank you to OVS staff who have put in a lot of their time and energy to make these events happen for our students.  Thank you to all the whanau and caregivers who came out and supported our students at both events!

Anyway, I’d better get back to it…places to go, people to see 🙂

Parking
We have been informed that vehicles have been parking in or too close to a local resident’s driveway while parents wait for their child to finish school for the day.
Just a reminder the minimum distance vehicles are are allowed to park from a vehicle entrance is 1 metre.  Vehicles parked less that 1 metre from the driveway can make it difficult for people to access their own driveway, and could also obstruct emergency services.
Please be considerate and park where there is plenty of room for the residents to access their driveway at all times.
