Otaika Valley School Level 2 return: Wednesday 12th of August 2020

Dear Parents / Caregivers,
With the confirmation that schools in NZ will be moving back into Alert Level 2 on Wednesday the 12th of August 2020, Otaika Valley School is going back into the same situation we have been in previously with our students here on site. AUCKLAND IN LEVEL 3 FOR 3 DAYS
A reminder of some requests and information for you.
It is essential that we all have a clear understanding of what school at Level 2 looks like and the joint responsibility we have in keeping everyone safe.
To help us help keep your children, staff and yourselves safe please take the time to carefully read information that comes out through email and is posted on our school website www.otaika.school.nz
Entering School this week please:
- Take particular notice of what you as parents are required to do if you enter the gate – CONTACT TRACING REQUIREMENTS – please read the signs at the gates
- Students and parents enter school through the main gate only – the bus bay gate will be locked for drop off.
- Staying home if sick
- Symptoms to monitor for are any respiratory symptoms such as a cold, a head cold, blocked ears, cough, sneezing, chills and a fever.
- Anyone with those symptoms should stay home and contact Healthline for advice, which may include getting tested for COVID-19 as a precaution.
- Anyone with these respiratory symptoms should not enter our school

- IS TO MAINTAIN THE BREATH ZONE
- WASH HANDS AFTER EACH BREAK/PHYSICAL/ ACTIVITY/TOILET
- KEEP HANDS AWAY FROM FACES
- DON’T SHARE FOOD
- BRING A DRINK BOTTLE
- FOUNTAINS TURNED OFF
- NO CONTACT SPORT
- 1M DISTANCE
