DISCO SAFETY & FOOD – update

28th September 2022

Kia ora koutou,

Please carefully read the SAFETY IMPLICATIONS to keep everyone safe on a wet night at the DISCO.

Safety Implications

  • your children are your responsibility outside of the Otaika Valley Hall/School
  • lots of cars with wet windows – low visibility
  • dark pick up time
  • 5:30 food available under cover outside Room 3 – burgers / sausages – open for business 30mins prior to hall doors opening
  • any child buying food at school needs to be accompanied by an adult
  • no children crossing from school to the hall without an adult/parent
  • all children need to be checked in at the hall after 6pm with Ms McClune – roll call – if your late because you’re eating food at school that is no problem
  • all children need to be checked off at 7:30 by Ms McClune as you leave
  • any child left at the event must stay in the hall from 6pm to 7:30pm – or when parents decide to take them

Reminders

  • 5:30 outside Room 3 food sales start
  • 6pm on the dot the hall doors will open – this is for child management reasons
  • bring an umbrella as there will be a line of people waiting to sign children in
  • snack foods will be available for sale inside the hall after 6pm
  • if any burgers or sausages are left over from outside Room 3, then there maybe leftovers on sale in the hall

Exciting

  • It is so exciting to have such an enthusiastic parent group supporting the school for this event.  Please show your appreciation by supporting the food sales.
